based on results

are you committed to (fill in your blank)? maybe, maybe not.

I've made many commitments I've made. a few I've probably broken, but the majority I've kept.

now if there's something you want....obviously you've gotta be committed, which goes without saying. because at the first sign of resistance or difficulty it's pretty easy to give up. in fact, it's literally 100% easier to give up than to keep going. but faint of heart never won fair maiden, right?

you wanna know if you're committed or not?

Just look at your results. that's all you have to do.

your results will tell you if you're committed or not. you can look at your life and say, based on results, whether you are, or aren't. I know this seems trivial, but the distinction is tremendous. saying "I am committed" does not mean you are committed. getting the results you set out to get means you are committed.

"but Luke! it's just not that simple."

And in a way it isn't. but in another, simpler, more honest way......it really is.

because, here's the kicker, if it was a life or death situation where you HAD to get/have/achieve something, you would most certainly find a way to do it.

If you're really committed to releasing an album, you will write songs on a regular basis and take steps towards it happening.

if you're really committed to having better health by say, losing 10 pounds, your schedule and the things you eat will say so.

if you're committed to being on time...you will see that reflected in your punctuality and keep your word!

and the nice part about gauging all this is, it's a very simple yes or no answer.

are you committed or not?

you lose, i lose

really, we do. when YOU don't show up 100%, both of us lose. so it really doesn't do either of us any good when you don't actually speak...
